Good morning, Mamma. And hello.
Did you have a good weekend? I hope so. We did over here – canoeing and biking and church; laundry and hanging out and homemade pizza. Heaven.
I start a new job today; I fly out this afternoon to Boston for a week of training. I am so excited to begin this new chapter. SO. EXCITED!
I hope you’ll forgive me my absence these last couple weeks. It was one of those times in my life where something had to give. You know those times, where you look at your life and everything that needs to get done and you realize, it isn’t all going to fit?
So, I’ve tried to do a respectable job closing out one job, and preparing for the next job, and continuing to workout because that is my sanity, and continuing to have great family time because this is our last summer with all my children living in the same house (so my college-boy tells me, talk about emotional panic) … and my writing had to be put on hold. As did most lunches and coffees with girlfriends. That’s life, sometimes.
I know you’ve been here. If you haven’t, you’ll probably be here someday. And when you too are maxed out to the point of having to apologize and bow out (for a while) to take care of the essentials, you know I’ll understand. Circle the wagons, Mamma. Get the critical stuff taken care of.
Hello again. And happy Monday. Ready to take on the day?
